Magnet design tips
-
Keep the shape clean: Die-cut magnets look great, but simple outer shapes usually cut cleaner and feel more polished.
-
Use bold artwork: Magnets are often viewed on fridges, lockers, shelves or displays, so strong contrast and readable text work best.
-
Plan the cut line: Show the exact magnet edge clearly, especially for custom-shaped magnets, acrylic magnets or character artwork.
-
Choose backing strength by use case: Lightweight fridge magnets, car magnets and thicker display magnets may need different material or backing strength.
-
Think about retail packaging: Magnets pair well with backing cards, envelopes, sticker sheets, hang tags, mailers and gift-ready packaging.
