Coaster design tips
-
Keep key artwork centred: Coasters are often covered by cups, so make sure the main logo or artwork still works when partially hidden.
-
Choose the right shape: Round and square coasters are classic, while custom shapes can make brand, wedding or event designs feel more memorable.
-
Think about liquid and heat: Choose materials and finishes based on whether the coasters are decorative, absorbent, reusable, bar-ready or gift-focused.
-
Plan sets early: Coasters often work best in sets of 2, 4 or 6, especially for retail, weddings, cafés and gifting.
-
Design the packaging too: Coaster sets pair well with belly bands, backing cards, boxes, sleeves, stickers and branded gift packaging.
